শঙ্করপুর / SHANKARPUR
Shankarpur is a virgin beach town located 14 km east of Digha. The distance from Kolkata is 173 km. It is also a regular fishing harbour. The mornings are cool, when fishermen can be seen hauling their huge nets out of the sea. Here, the morning sun reflecting on the sea waves in the east and the local fishing boats on the coast offer excellent photographic opportunities. Shankarpur Beach is another coastal strip in the adjacent region to Mandarmani. The beach is also referred as a twin beach of Digha.</p>

<p>দিঘা থেকে মাত্র ১৪ কিলোমিটার পূর্বে শঙ্করপুর, দিঘা-কন্টাই রোড বরাবর, প্রায় কুমারী সৈকত, এটি একটি সাম্প্রতিক আবিষ্কার। এটি থেকে প্রায় ১০ কিলোমিটার দূরে দিঘার যমজ হিসাবে বিবেচিত হয়। এটি একটি ব্যক্তিগত সৈকতের প্রায় সমস্ত আনন্দ সরবরাহ করে। এই সমুদ্র সৈকতটিও ক্যাসুয়ারিনা গাছের আবাদে কাটা। এটি একটি ফিশিং বন্দরও। শঙ্করপুর সমুদ্রের অবলম্বন হিসাবে গড়ে উঠেছে, হোটেল, ট্যুরিস্ট লজ এবং অন্যান্য সুযোগ-সুবিধা রয়েছে। অন্যান্য থাকার ব্যবস্থা যেমন ফিশারি বিভাগের গেস্ট হাউসগুলি এবং বেনফিশের অধীনে লজগুলি এবং আবাসনের জন্য ছোট ব্যক্তিগত স্থানগুলিও পাওয়া যায়।<br />
